ECSTASY at Red Rocks

On September 14'th I had the great fortune to attend Government Mule's final performance of the year of "Dark Side of the Mule" along with two other bloody toe founders at Red Rocks. What a beautiful magical night starting with the picture perfect weather- my first Red Rocks experience without precipitation! Warren Haynes performed an acoustic set followed by a strong Government Mule set then capped off by a mind blowing performance of Pink Floyd material. Sheer ecstasy! We were transported to a higher plane! And now some shameless pandering to get the attention of internet search engines: grateful dead apparel, grateful dead shirts, grateful dead hats

Lockn love

Our band of brothers have been to all 6 Lockn festivals. The festival never fails to deliver magical musical moments with collaborations that do not anywhere else which makes it  a jam lover’s paradise. Some highlights this year included Derek Trucks sitting in with Umphrey’s Mcgee and Jason Bonham for whole lotta love and Dead and Company joining foundation of funk as well as a late night Lettuce set. This video is from their Saturday set, probably one of their best performances ever. ( Grateful Dead shirts )

Bloodytoe.co jamming at the Jerry Garcia Birthday Bash in Vail, Co

After watching my kids race up ABasin in the morning, Saturday night I headed to Vail and the Ford Amphitheater for the Jerry Garcia Birthday Bash. What a beautiful night listening to my favorite music. Oteil was bringing it on the bass; Tommy H was rocking vocals and his guitar, along with some original Grateful Dead members. And look who’s keeping the rhythm on drums: Mr Trucks himself taking a break from his main gig with WSP. I was too busy dancing down low to get any shots of myself or crew but we proudly rocked our Bloodytoe.co gear. And yes, we were glowing in the dark with our new Day of the Grateful Dead Trucker Hat.
